One-Star Reviews of Coinbase Wallet, Probably from DApp Scam Victims

The following are recent reviews of Coinbase Wallet on Google Play Store that I have collected. I believe these reviewers are victims of the same DApp phishing scam while using Coinbase Wallet.
I could not find earlier reviews that I was able to capture screenshots of because I could not scroll down far enough. Google kept on refreshing the list and reviews are randomly out of order after each refresh. This is either an annoying bug (Google, bug?) or it is an intentional throttling mechanism that Google put in place to prevent us from finding the reviews we want (?).

[Reply] Case #10128195 - Unknown withdrawal from my coinbase wallet reply from last review: Outsider did withdrawal from my USDT wallet without my permission, and I never give 12 phrase as account key to anybody. I asked Coinbase wallet about it and they said Coinbase wallet is non custodial product from Coinbase, so they can not refund or reimburse my lost. I am really shocked and disapointed, because the fund really means alot to me.

If you are planning to use any DApps from this wallet like what is called "Lossless mining Liquidity pledge-free" ex: Coinyee-eth, Eth-bee, Eth-prime, These apps are scams and steal your money after getting your approval. They ask you to buy a voucher before you can start, and buying a voucher is nothing but sending a hidden request to your wallet to give them a permission to withdraw all your money on your behalf. Use MetaMask wallet instead of this one.

Jason LewisFebruary 8, 2022I put money in my account in the wallet and they allow someone to withdraw it and then when I asked them to help me get the money back all they wanted to tell me was they wasn't reliable and I had to send an email to the authorities. But it's called coinbase wallet. They allow someone to withdraw over $2,000 of my money and then they tell me that they can't do nothing for me . Hugh risk, real support team can't help me to recover fund, although Coinbase delayed my transfer for Jan 13th, but scammer able to get my fund on Jan 10th, how can you trust what Coinbase tell you.

SPYDORJanuary 24, 2022For a company with the scale and resources of Coinbase, it's stunning the wallet is such an amateur job. Avoid joining DeFi liquidity pools here, as the lack of warnings, or other security measures, leaves you wide open to ERC-20 infinite spend exploits: your entire wallet can be drained, after agreeing to what this app ineptly displays as a single harmless transaction fee. The fact this has been known about for ages yet users are still not warned & protected is grossly negligent by Coinbase.

Obviously it doesn't work and if I did something wrong it should have warned me. Shame on coinbase. Shame on Google. Both public companies that don't have their stuff together. Otherwise it would have been easier to know that this application is a scam magnet with significant holes. No response. Third posting. 16 days. I'm disgusted.

nathaniel coreyJanuary 14, 2022Stay away from it. I got off work to find 1000usdt coins missing and a transaction made when I was at work. Yet had biometrics enabled for transactions and 2fa. I still ended losing 1000 coins and no one can explain anything other than saying I initiated the transaction which is hard to do when I work in a prison and no phones are allowed in.

Richard J WitasJanuary 8, 2022If you have this on your phone get it off of your phone immediately!!!!! This app allows scammers and thieves access to your supposedly "Secure" wallets via vouchers that you buy to do cryptocurrency mining in their supported dapps. Smart contracts are disguised as vouchers and when you purchase the voucher you are basically signing a smart contract. They don't tell you this and coinbase wallet has been allowing this to go on since they've been around. They don't care if you lose your money!!!!!

Steven TungsethJanuary 6, 2022On 12/30/2021 I checked my coinbase wallet. I was shocked to find out that $2574.79 worth of USDT or Tether had been transferred out of my account. I have been calling 3 times a day and wrote many emails for help recovering my crypto. They have been little to no help. They are saying that it is somehow my fault. They told me that there is no way that anyone could have taken my money unless I gave them access. I didn't. They are just passing the blame.

Thousands of dollars were stolen from my account, and I do not believe I put my information into any phishing websites. Not sure how my information was leaked or how my account got hacked, but I advise against this app. I never would have thought that would be possible with the safety measures I have taken. I wish I had been notified of all my coins being transferred at once, because I only realized this week's after it had occurred

Richard YipDecember 30, 2022All my USDT was stolen my coinbase wallet wallet. First this wallet keeps the pass code in the account. It is absolutely insecure. 2nd it does not provide any verification nor notification for transaction. 3rd it does not have 2FA. 4th you won't get a real help to recover your lost. It's your own fault. Any DApps or hacker can easily withdraw all your funds.

I have told support but they have fobbed me off and now won’t answer my questions. This happened to a friend too. Andrew CampbellDecember 18, 2021I used this wallet to do mining through the Eth-Bee platform, everything was going fine until all my money, 23,000 USDT, just disappeared from my wallet. Eth-Bee customer service told me to deposit more money to my Coinbase wallet to top up to the minimum amount for mining, which I did, and then this money also disappeared. How is it possible for a mining platform to empty your wallet without your authorization? I have tried to contact coinbase customer support twice about this but no reply.

Andy HenningsenDecember 16, 2021AVOID THIS WALLET! I would suggest any other Wallet. Coinbase Wallet is the least secure. Hackers got into mine and drained what I had. I have spent hours explaining to their customer support and they don't seem to care. Coinbase has had previous security issues and they don't seem to want to resolve them. I would highly recommend another Wallet.
